Welcome from the Head of Sixth Form

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Haberdashers' Borough Academy Sixth Form. 

We offer an innovative setting, focussed on developing your academic scholarship, in preparation for the next stage of your journey. That journey will be enriched with a plethora of opportunities, which enable you to access the very best opportunities as you embark upon your career. 

 This is a unique opportunity to become part of the founding cohort of an ambitious and forward-thinking Sixth Form, in the Heart of Central London.   

You will be joining a community in which you are well supported, have access to world-leading organisations and partners, and can participate in a varied programme of opportunities  that will prepare you for your ambitious next steps.

When is the Sixth Form Open Evening? 

Our Sixth Form Open Evening will take place on Thursday 18th January 2024 from 5.30pm - 7.30pm. You can express your interest in attending, by completing the EventBrite form here.  

What are the Entry Requirements? 

Our broad admissions criteria for the Sixth Form is that we expect pupils to have five GCSE's at Grade 5 and above, with Grade 6's in the subject you wish to pursue at A-Level. You must have a minimum of a Grade 5 in English Language or Literature, and Mathematics.

Which courses will you be offering? 

 A detailed overview of our curriculum offer can be found in our course booklet and the curriculum pages here. 

Please be aware that given this is the first year of the provision, courses may not run if there is not sufficient interest. 

Where can I learn more about your enrichment offer? 

Our enrichment programme  has been designed to complement the curriculum offer and will develop depending on the interests and ambitions of our founding cohort. You can see our initial proposal here.

What is the applications process? 

You must complete the formal expression of interest form in the first instance.  We will then send you a link to the Borough Sixth Form Application form to complete online. 

You will then be invited for an informal discussion about your application, with a member of the Senior Leadership Team. We will discuss your suggested curriculum choices and how we can support you towards your next steps. This will give you a chance to meet key members of the Sixth Form team.
