Key Performance Indicators (KPI) - KS3
The KPI scores are based on the teachers' assessment over the course thus far. Teachers look at the information available in their ongoing assessment to determine the content and application knowledge of pupils across the curriculum.
Content Knowledge:
Content knowledge is the understanding of a particular subject area or an area of knowledge within that subject. This score reflects how much a pupil has learnt about a given topic (1 being very strong and 4 being the weakest) E.G. learning vocabulary in MFL or understanding of a character in English.
Content Application:
Content application is the process of using learnt knowledge in a meaningful/practical way. This reflects a pupil's ability to apply this knowledge to a given task or activity with a clear success criteria (1 being very strong and 4 being the weakest) E.G. using the new vocabulary correctly in MFL or being able to write an analytical piece about a character in English.
