COLLECTING RESULTS

Awaiting results can be a nerve wracking time for students and their families. GCSE Results will be available from 8.00am on Thursday 22nd August. Year 11 pupils should arrive to the main gate near the Library, where they will be able to collect results.

Please note that for those intending to collect results on the behalf of someone else, a signed letter from the candidate's family is required. If you have not yet submitted this, please contact our examinations officer, Mr Muhammad at  k.muhammad@habstrustsouth.org.uk to make the appropriate arrangements.

SIXTH FORM ENROLMENT

Enrolment takes place for pupils directly after the collection of results. Offer holders should make their way to Winchester House to meet with the Sixth Form team to complete the enrolment process and secure their place for September.

POST RESULTS SERVICES

There are two potential services available to students after the collection of results:

ATS: Access to Scripts

Where desired, you can access a copy o your examination script to view the marking that has taken place. Electronic copies of the scripts are recommended; as requesting this still leaves the option of a results review.

Where this is recommended by the Academy, we will support the cost of this request. However, if you wish to see your script, but the Academy does not believe there is a case for a result review, this cost will need to be met by the student.

EAR: Review of Result

You can request for your paper to be reviewed to ensure that the marking is accurate, where you feel unhappy about a result. Our recommendation is you do this in consultation with your subject teachers, who will advise you on this process.

There are different levels of service available, from a clerical administrative check, to a remark of the paper. Where this is recommended by the school, the cost will be met by the school.

Where this is requested by the candidate, the fees will be payable by the student. If the mark does increase, that fee will be refunded to the student.

It is important to note that following a review of marking, there are three possible outcomes:

1. The original mark is lowered, and this could mean the final grade you receive does decrease.

2. There is no change to your grade or marks.

3. Your original mark is increased, and this could mean the final grade you receive does increase.

Full consent is needed from the student to pursue a review of results, prior to the application.

All requests for a review of results should be made no later than:

29th August - Priority Review of Results (Edexcel)

26th September - All other boards.

RESITS

The Academy cannot facilitate resits of GCSE subjects for pupils.
