During this time of online learning, Drama students have been studying techniques that contribute to writing and performing Monologues. What you see here is an edit of some of the amazing work that HABA Drama students have produced.
The students were asked to create their own work in response to texts or ideas, or to create work based around given Monologues from Macbeth, Kneehigh Theatre’s Hansel and Gretel and The Lion King. We challenged students to use ‘found’ objects around the home and to create a whole world of the play, making props, soundtrack and set themselves. Some students chose to submit personal work, celebrating their favourite book or reading a contemporary monologue. Others worked on a collaborative task with Art, using backgrounds for their monologues and making set designs.
We hope you agree that the resourcefulness and creative response that you see here, from using toys, siblings and even pets, represents the incredible creative talent we share at Borough Academy.
