Sixth Form

The creation of our Sixth Form is the next step on the Borough Academy journey. Set to open in September 2024, we look forward to developing this 16+ provision. Our aim is for all young adults who join the Sixth Form to thrive on an academic pathway of their choice.

We are committed to delivering high-quality teaching from expert subject specialists, as well as providing considered careers information, advice, and guidance that will enable our students to make choices about higher education and the world of work, be it Russell Group or Oxbridge universities, or apprenticeships.

To support this, we are pleased to welcome an experienced Assistant Principal, Dr Kearns, to run the Sixth Form from September 2023.

Born out of a local parent campaign and a residential developer’s section 106 obligation, Borough Academy exists today as a local school for local children, providing an academic curriculum which is unapologetically ambitious in its stretch and breadth. It is a school that uses its cultural and central location to develop partnerships that help us realise the Haberdashers’ Advantage in and out of the classroom.

The Sixth Form development is an exciting time in our school’s development. Being a Haberdashers’ school brings many benefits, including a wealth of experience in educating children into adulthood. Drawing from this experience, Sixth Form pupils will leave us as young adults, equipped and enabled with the knowledge and skills to make informed choices about their lives beyond school. Furthermore, they will be safe in the knowledge that they belong to a lifelong Haberdashers’ network, where they benefit from unrivalled networking and support opportunities.
