Appeals Process

Parents have the right to appeal under The Education Act 2002 to an independent appeal panel against the decision not to offer your child a place at Borough Academy.

Appeals timetable for Year 7 2026 Intake

Monday 2nd March 2026	National Offer Day
Thursday 5th March 2026	Appeals Form & Guidance available
Monday 20th April 2026	Closing date to Lodge Appeal
Thursday 11th June 2026	Appeal Hearings - Appeals will be held within 40 school days after the deadline. Appellants will receive at least 10 days notice of their appeal hearing. Decision letters will be sent within 5 school days of the hearing wherever possible.

Parents have the right to Appeal under The Education Act to an independent panel, against the decision not to offer your child a place at the Academy for September 2025.

Appeals must be lodged within 30 school days of the published GCSE results. and the Academy will arrange hearing within 30 days from receipt of the Appeal.
